StepUp is seeking an Import Specialist to deliver best-in-class Customs Brokerage services to our customers. This position is based in our Chicago (Elk Grove Village) location.

Responsibilities to include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare Customs entry documentation in compliance with US Customs regulations
  • Opening airfreight shipments
  • Data entry of client shipment detail and update of shipment milestones
  • Route, coordinate and track shipments
  • File and monitor Us Customs security data sets
  • Actively communicate to insure 100% client satisfaction and full visibility of shipment status
  • File Partner Government Agency data sets (Food & Drug, Fish & Wildlife, etc.)
  • Create and maintain client Excel spreadsheets that ensure government agency compliance

Requirements


Position Requirements:

  • Strong data entry skills using business management software
  • Supply Chain and Management experience
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Experience with CargoWise software a plus
  • Knowledge of international and domestic transportation a plus but not required
  • Familiarity with import documentation and US Customs regulations and processes a plus but not required
